Impact Pleases At Chantilly Japanese star Deep Impact turned in an satisfactory performance as he worked over six furlongs at Chantilly yesterday.The four-year-old, who is being prepared for a crack at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Sunday week, has been lodging with Carlos Laffon-Parias since his arrival in France.The Sunday Silence colt has only been beaten once in 11 starts and trainer Yasuo Ikee is now planning a final gallop next week ahead of the big race.'I was very satisfied with his work,' said Ikee. 'His time was not too fast but not too slow either.
