JAPANESE RAID ASCOT Japanese sprinters Agnes World and Dojima Muteki head a massive 23-strong field for tomorrow's King's Stand Stakes after today's overnight declaration stage. The Hideyuki Mori-trained stablemates, based at Geoff Wragg's Newmarket stable for the duration of their British visit, will be ridden by brothers Yutaka and Koshira Take. Agnes World won last year's Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp and faces a re-match with runner-up Imperial Beauty, who finished fourth in the Temple Stakes on his reappearance last month. Among the others to line up are David Nicholls' rapidly-improving sprinter Rudi's Pet, the mount of champion jockey Kieren Fallon, and fellow Northern challenger Flanders, short-headed in this race last year by Mitcham. Eleven horses have been declared for the Group Two Queen Anne Stakes, the curtain-raiser to the meeting. Godolphin have won the last four runnings of this race and saddle both Lockinge Stakes winner Aljabr and Muhtathir. But French raider Dansili boasts useful form on the continent and could prove to be the fly in the ointment under French champion Olivier Peslier.
