Jack Is Preakness Possible Exciting plans are in store for Jack Junior, with an attempt at next month's Preakness Stakes in America being considered. After two fair runs last season, the Brian Meehan-trained colt produced a greatly improved effort on dirt in Saturday's UAE Derby at Nad Al Sheba to finish second, albeit well beaten, to the South African sensation Asiatic Boy.While the Stan James 2000 Guineas has not been ruled out either, a run in the Preakness, the second leg of the US Triple Crown at Pimlico on May 19, is certainly thought of as another option.Eamonn Connolly, racing manager to his owner Roldvale Limited, said: 'Plans are quite fluid but he has a couple of entries in America including the Preakness.'He is also in the 2000 Guineas in England, but he gets home tomorrow night and we will give him a few days to see if he needs more time to come back to himself.'He's an exciting horse to have. The Guineas may be a bit early for him and although it is expensive to go there, the Preakness is a bit later and we know he handles the dirt.'? PA Sport
