Japan Cup Invitation for Tattersalls Winner

The winner of this year?s Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown Racecourse will receive an automatic invitation to compete in the Japan Cup.

The Japan Cup which is run over a distance of 12 furlongs will be held at Tokyo Racecourse on Sunday 30th November, with prize money of ?1,500,000 for the winner, ?600,000 for second and ?375,000 for third.

The Japan Racing Association will as part of the invitation cover the travelling costs of the Horse / Trainer / Owner and Jockey.

Following the most recent forfeit stage for The Tattersalls Millions Irish Champions Stakes, 63 horses still hold entries for the race. These include Epsom Derby winner ?New Approach?, Irish Derby winner ?Frozen Fire?, along with Ascot winners ?Henrythenavigator? and ?Duke of Marmalade?.

The second entry stage for the race is on Wednesday 16th July 2008.
