Kauto On Parade At Sandown Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Kauto Star and his big-race jockey Ruby Walsh will pick up their Racing UK Order of Merit prizes at Sandown on Saturday.The pair ended the season unbeaten in six starts, with Walsh steering the Paul Nicholls-trained runner to success in the King George VI Chase and Tingle Creek Trophy among others.Kauto Star notched up 110 points during his superlative campaign, some 28 points clear of his nearest rival Exotic Dancer, to bag the £200,000 bonus.Owner Clive Smith said: 'The horse means the world to me. Owning one like him is what every owner dreams of and I couldn´t imagine that 20 years ago, when I first started owning, that I would have one as good as him.'I am absolutely delighted the horse has won the Order of Merit; he has had a spectacular season and richly deserves the accolade.'Kauto Star will parade at 1.30pm in Sandown´s paddock on Saturday, while Walsh will be presented with a cheque for his win in the inaugural jockeys´ competition.Walsh will be given &£163;20,000, £10,000 of which will go to his two chosen charities, DEBRA Ireland (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research) and the Marie Keating Foundation for Breast Cancer.(C) PA Sport
