Kinane Lands Araafa Ride Mick Kinane has been handed the plum ride on Jeremy Noseda's Araafa in this Sunday's Prix du Moulin at Longchamp. Alan Munro has partnered the three-year-old on each of his four outings this season but as he is currently sidelined, connections have turned to Kinane, who finished sixth aboard the colt in a Group Three event last season. The dual Group One winner will be out to restore his reputation after finishing outside the frame when last seen in action in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood four weeks ago.The Shalfleet handler told www.jeremynoseda.com: 'He got involved in chasing a suicidal pace at Goodwood ? a track that didn't suit him anyway. He also emerged a little bit sore from the race.'But I have been pleased with his preparations going into the Moulin and, after the disappointment of the Sussex Stakes, I am hopeful that he can recapture his best form and that it will prove to be the ideal stepping stone to the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.'He will be ridden by Michael Kinane.'(C) PA Sport
