Knight Considered For Wincanton Return

One Knight, who sustained cuts after running loose following his exit at the second fence of the Cotswold Chase at Wincanton on Thursday, could be set for a return to the same venue later in the month.

Philip Hobbs will consider running One Knight in the Country Gentleman´s Chase on February 18 which would be the gelding´s only run ahead of the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

However, One Knight will now have a few days on the easy list recuperating from the minor injuries he suffered when he jumped a rail on the paddock bend.

Hobbs said: 'Fortunately he was not too bad this morning but has had a couple of staples inserted below his fetlock joint, while he has abrasions to the top of his near fore.

'However, the main thing is that he´s sound and will only miss two or three days of exercise.

'I don´t think it´s vital for him to have another outing so we will either go back to Wincanton or take him straight to Cheltenham.'
