Lashes settling well in Hong Kong

Multiple Group One winner Lush Lashes has arrived in the Far East in fine fettle as she prepares to take on the colts for the first time in the Hong Kong Cup next weekend.

The daughter of Galileo has enjoyed a lucrative campaign, winning the Coronation Stakes and the Matron Stakes over a mile, as well as taking the Yorkshire Oaks over 12 furlongs.

She lost nothing in defeat when a length-and-a-half second in the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp on Arc day and although she sustained a slight injury during that race, trainer Jim Bolger is pleased with her current condition.

"She arrived there a few days ago and she has settled in nicely," said the Coolcullen handler.

"She had a knock on the leg in the stalls when running in France and it took about a month to clear up, but she seems as good as ever now.

"There is no need to make a decision on whether she stays in training just yet. Let's get this race out of the way first and then we'll decide."
