Leading 2-y-o to go under hammer Firebreak, winner of the Group Two Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury last month, is to be sold at the forthcoming Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale at Newmarket.Trained by Ian Balding and owned by Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds, Firebreak is the winner of four of his six starts to date and is officially the equal-third highest rated two-year-old colt in Britain.As well as his Mill Reef victory, Firebreak landed the Group Three Prix de Cabourg at Deauville, finished fourth in the Prix Morny behind Johannesburg, and was a neck second to Landseer in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.The sale is due to take place on October 29th to November 1st.Commenting on the sale of Firebreak, Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds chairman Nick Robinson said: 'Firebreak has been a little bit special from the word go. Never out of the first four, he is undoubtedly the best horse that Kennet Valley has ever owned, and obviously it is with some regret that we are offering him for sale but those are the terms of the partnership agreement.'
