Leicester Goes Ahead This afternoon's meeting at Leicester has been given the go-ahead after the track passed a second inspection at 10.45am. Temperatures at the Midlands venue dropped to as low as minus four overnight and as a result, an initial inspection at 8am proved inconclusive. However, temperatures have continued to rise throughout the morning and clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson is now confident the track is fit to race. "Things have improved and racing goes ahead," said Stevenson. "The going remains heavy on the hurdle track and soft, good to soft in places on the chase course."
