Limestone cruises to 28th win Limestone Lad claimed his 28th victory in effortless fashion when landing the Navan Racecourse & Golf Course Hurdle at the Co Meath track today.James Bowe`s popular gelding, sent off the 2/11 favourite, predictably made every yard of the running and was not pressed to record a three-and-a-half-length victory over Catch Ball.Paul Carberry was again on board the nine-year-old and the ultra-confident jockey never had to move a muscle as early pursuer Unsinkable Boxer fell away from five out - leaving Catch Ball to chase.Although the Willie Mullins-trained mare narrowed the gap in the straight, it was more to do with the fact that Carberry was easing Limestone Lad and the jockey could afford several casual glances over his shoulder from the last hurdle.Michael Bowe, who does all the work at home for his father, James, with Limestone Lad, remarked: 'He loves going racing and the plan now is to go for the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown.'
