Limit Bids For Drinmore Glory

Sky's The Limit and Kazal are among nine runners bidding for Grade One glory in Sunday's Ballymore Properties Drinmore Novices Chase at Fairyhouse.

The former, winner of the Coral Cup in 2006, drew a blank in his first season over fences but showed up much better when running out a comfortable winner at Cork on his seasonal bow.

Eoin Griffin's Kazal, who lost only once in seven starts over hurdles last season, is pitched in at the deep end for his first start over fences.

Paul Nolan's French Accordion has been progressing at a rate of knots this term and will be seeking a five-timer having won the Fortria Chase on his latest start.

Line Ball, trained by Christy Roche and Charlie Swan's Drunken Disorderly also feature along with Abbeybraney, For A Song, Mr Robert and Be My Leader.

Sweet Kiln made an outstanding seasonal debut with a nine-length win over Rosaker at Navan three weeks ago and trainer Michael Bowe believes the mare has a tremendous chance if she can reproduce that performance.

'If she goes there in the same form and in the same frame of mind she was in Navan then she'll take the world of beating,' he said.

'She goes on good ground and if the ground does come up soft it would not inconvenience her as much as it would the other horses.

'It would be a dream come true if she could win it for us after Limestone Lad and Solerina, but at the end of the day, that means nothing to the horse.

'She's still got to go out there and do her job.'
