Linn Is Leger Possible

Turbo Linn could be a possible surprise supplementary entry for the Irish Field St Leger.

Trainer Alan Swinbank has not ruled out adding her to the field for the Curragh Classic on September 15 at a cost of 30,000.

Stablemates Collier Hill, who took the prize in 2005, and Alfie Flits, hold entries in the Irish feature.

It is now one of the races being considered for Swinbank's latest star, who took her unbeaten record to eight at Newmarket on Saturday, having risen from bumpers to Listed and Group winner.

'She's eaten up and we let her out for a piece of grass and she'll be out again for an hour later,' said Swinbank.

'She's marvellous and she's come out of the race brilliant.

'She's such a lovely filly and she'll be more popular than Collier Hill if we keep going.

'I was thinking coming home from Newmarket in the car if anything happened to Alfie Flits, I could put her in the Irish Leger.

'That race could be right up her street. The main thing is we want to put a lot of thought into it as once you start stepping them up to one mile six, they could lose their speed over one mile four.'

Immediately after her victory on Saturday, Swinbank pointed to the Group Two Prix de Pomone on August 5 at Deauville as her next race followed possibly by the Stockholm Cup on September 9, which Swinbank has won twice with Collier Hill

'We may not even go to Stockholm yet. We'll probably try to get her to Deauville. It's in two weeks' time so we'll have to see how she goes,' Swinbank went on.

'If everything went well with her she could be a Gold Cup horse in two years' time. Two miles plus would be up her street.

'We'll keep working away and hope she's as good as we think she is. She's got youth on her side.'
