This afternoon's meeting at Listowel goes ahead after the track passed a precautionary inspection.

Heavy rain forced officials to check conditions but with fresh ground set to be used today, they are satisfied with the state of the track.

Cliff Noone, press officer for the Irish Turf Club said: 'It is heavy ground but despite rain yesterday and some more overnight, it seems to have dried out well.'
