Logic set for Darling return

Last season`s outstanding juvenile filly Queen`s Logic is reported by trainer Mick Channon to be in good form ahead of the coming turf season and she could return to action at Newbury next month.

The daughter of Grand Lodge won all her four starts in 2001, including a highly-impressive seven-length victory in the Grade One Shadwell Stud Cheveley Park Stakes on her final start of the campaign, to earn a quote of 3-1 from William Hill for the Sagitta 1000 Guineas.

'She`s always been a very straight forward horse,' Channon told Channel 4 Racing. 'She`s wintered well but only time will tell.

'I expect everyone is excited about the start of the Flat and I`m no exception.

'We`ll have to see how it pans out in the trial races and I`ve got to speak to Jaber (Abdullah, the owner) but the Fred Darling (Dubai Duty Free Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury on April 20th) makes sense for her.'
