Look Hughes Back

Richard Hughes is looking forward to having his first ride over jumps for more than a year when he teams up with Lyceum at Ascot on Saturday.

The top Flat jockey, who took out a jumps licence last month, rides the five-year-old for his father, Dessie Hughes, in the Foundation Developments Novices' Hurdle.

'I've been schooling at Alan King's twice a week so I've got my eye in,' said Hughes.

'He (Lyceum) loves fast ground so that will be a big plus. It's a good ride and will get me started.

'I may have a couple more rides on Saturday, but I'm not sure yet.'
