Lungo team please in work Len Lungo`s Cheltenham team completed its preparation for next week`s Cheltenham Festival when The Bajan Bandit and Freetown pleased with their work over two miles after racing at Ayr today. The pair will now head for the Royal & SunAlliance Novices` Hurdle and Pertemps Final respectively.Lungo had also been delighted earlier in the day when Direct Access (Royal & SunAlliance Chase), Ebinzayd (County Hurdle), Rose d`April (Weatherbys Champion Bumper) and Valigan (Kim Muir) worked at home. With stable jockey Tony Dobbin in Ireland following a family bereavement, conditional jockeys Gary Berridge and Willie Dowling partnered Freetown and The Bajan Bandit.Lungo said afterwards: 'They went steady for the first mile and a half before stepping up a bit but we did not want to murder them and they finished upsides.'The boys were happy with them, Willie said he was glad we brought Bajan as he took a couple of blows, but Gary said Freetown was fit enough - the day out at the races will have excited them and sharpened them up, they will be bucking and squealing in the morning.'He went on: 'We would like some rain for them down there now and let us hope that none of them cough between now and then.'
