MONTJEU TO STAND IN NEW ZEALAND

Brilliant Arc and King George winner Montjeu will stand in New Zealand for this year`s southern hemisphere breeding season, it was announced today.

The five-year-old will operate as a shuttle sire at the Windsor Park Stud.

The son of Sadler`s Wells was retired to stand with his sire at Coolmore in Ireland at the end of last season and the move is a major coup for the New Zealand breeding industry.

Montjeu won the French and Irish Derbys as well as the Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe in 1999 and was one of the easiest winners in the history of the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes last season.

Mares booked to him include Flame Of Tara, dam of Salsabil, and Pentire`s dam Gull Nook.
