MURTAGH RETURNS ON WEDNESDAY Johnny Murtagh returns to race-riding at Limerick next Wednesday when he will partner at least one horse for his boss John Oxx.The former champion has made great strides in his battle against the weight problems that have dogged his season, riding work each day in Oxx’s Curragh yard and staying late mucking out.With the Champion Stakes only seven days away it is not yet known whether Murtagh will ride Alamshar, but he is certainly going the right way about putting himself back in the picture.
