Massive crowd attends Timmy Houlihan´s funeral. Members of all sides of the racing community were present at Killorglin, Co. Kerry yesterday for the funeral of apprentice jockey Timmy Houlihan.Parish priest Fr Michael Fleming described how shocked the small community was, saying 'sadness and shock has stung our parish, and places further afield, over the past few days. Everyone is stunned by grief especially Timmy´s family.'Fr Fleming added 'Timmy never looked for attention. I suppose ´gentle´ is the word most used to describe him and ´thanks´ was a word he used a lot.'Houihan is survived by his parents Jerry and Doreen, four brothers and two sisters.
