McCoy and Fallon receive honours Tony McCoy and Kieren Fallon received the top honours at the 12th Lesters Ceremony at the London Hilton on Sunday night.McCoy was voted Jump Jockey of the Year while Fallon received the Flat Jockey of the Year award in a glittering ceremony which was sponsored for the first time by attheraces and Channel 4.The award, voted for by members of the Jockeys Association, topped off a memorable year for McCoy, who recently broke Sir Gordon Richards` record of 269 winners in a season.For Fallon it was the culmination of campaign that saw him win back his champion jockey title after an injury lay-off.Keith Dalgleish was named Apprentice Jockey of the Year after a season which saw him rack up 50 successes, while Joanna Badger was awarded the Lady Jockey of the Year prize.Liam Cooper, who is attached to Jonjo O`Neill`s all-conquering yard, was voted Conditional Jockey of the Year.Steve Drowne and Richard Guest also picked up prizes for Flat Ride of the Year and Jump Ride of the Year respectively.Drowne received his award for the ride he gave Harmonic Way in the Group Two Cork And Orrery Stakes at Royal Ascot last June.The rider rode a perfectly-judged waiting race on the Roger Charlton-trained runner before pouncing in the final furlong to run away with the contest.Guest was honoured for the determined performance he put up on Red Marauder in last year`s Martell Grand National.He guided the 33-1 shot to victory in a dramatic race at Aintree last April which saw all but Red Marauder and Smarty part company with their riders.Willie Worthington and George Duffield were the recipients of the Jump and Flat Jockey Special Recognition Awards.Worthington and Duffield were elected for the hard work and determination they demonstrated throughout the campaign.Denis Grattan was also presented with a cheque for Stg£1000 after taking the Scottish Equitable Special Award.He was judged to have ridden the best race in the Scottish Equitable race series.
