McCoy on brink of another record Tony McCoy was left teetering on the brink of the fastest 200 winners in a season after a riding a double at Leicester today.The champion jockey in Britain scored on Jonjo O`Neill`s Master Tern and the Martin Pipe-trained Polar Champ to leave himself on the 199-winner mark.The Ulsterman has six chances of notching the record-breaking double century at Newbury tomorrow and said: 'They`ve all got some sort of chance but I have to admit there doesn`t appear to be a good thing among them so we`ll just have to wait and see.'Master Tern made up for falling last time when opening his account over fences with a two-length verdict from Ibis Rochelais in the Groby Novices` Chase after forging ahead on the run-in.Polar Champ proved a much easier conveyance as he was never off the bridle before coasting to a nine-length call over Superior Risk in the Chieftain Claiming Hurdle as McCoy`s ploy of steering wide throughout paid handsome dividends.Conditional rider Ron Flavin took the featured Leicester Novices` Handicap Chase aboard Unlimited Free but missed out on a double due to a weight problem.Flavin missed the winning ride on Auk, who provided a 33-1 shock in the Dove Selling Handicap Hurdle, as he could not do the minimum weight and Steve Wynne took over in the saddle.
