McCoy targets Plumpton record Champion jump jockey Tony McCoy could reach another notable milestone at Plumpton on Monday - when he bids to beat Josh Gifford`s all-time record of 68 winners at the course. He is just one short of the total at the moment so a double at the track would see him add another chapter to his list of achievements. It was at Plumpton on September 17 that McCoy completed the fastest 100 winners in a season by scoring on 1-4 shot Present Bleu for Martin Pipe - the first leg of a double completed by 2-11 chance Turkestan. Monday`s meeting is a charity raceday in aid of Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre, a rehabilitation base for retired racehorses at Battle, East Sussex. Moorcroft Boy, after whom the centre is named, will parade and celebrity riders including the Racing Channel`s Alex Hammond and Alice Plunkett, Ian and Andrew Balding, Richard Rowe and Lucinda Harwood will compete in the Aston House Stud Charity Flat Race.
