Moment Is Ayr Possible

Theatrical Moment could turn out at Ayr on Saturday after being denied a run at Aintree.

Alan Swinbank's unbeaten son of Royal Anthem was due to be sent off as favourite for the closing Grade Two bumper on Grand National day, but the race was abandoned as vets were still treating stricken big-race faller Graphic Approach.

'We've entered him at Ayr on Saturday and I'm going to give him an entry for Punchestown,' said Swinbank.

'The ground will play a big factor. He won't run anywhere when it is firm.'

Far from being disappointed with the Aintree management's decision to call off the bumper, Swinbank was full of praise for the way the situation was handled.

'They did a great job at Liverpool,' Swinbank added.

'Charles Barnett and his whole team had done a marvellous job, the ground was beautiful ? it was just a shame about the last race but these things happen.

'I wouldn't have wanted the last race run if it was my horse the vets were treating. We all make our living out of horses so we have to look after them.'
