Mr Bones Galway bound Trainer Jimmy Coogan has the GPT Amateur Riders Handicap at Galway in mind for Mr Bones who landed the Carroll Cuisine Real Food Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan this evening. A winner on the Flat at Leopardstown recently, Mr Bones was contesting his first handicap hurdle and battled well, under Garrett Cotter, to eventually see off the challenge of Youngborogal by a length and three parts. Coogan later stated "I thought Mr Bones was well-in at the weights but he made hard work of it in the end and maybe he didn´t handle the track." He added "we will go for the GPT Amateur Riders Handicap at Galway next and hopefully Padraig Roche, who won on him at Leopardstown, will be available to ride him."
