Munaddam Misses Royal Date

Munaddam will run in the Criterion Stakes after connections decided to swerve a possible outing at Royal Ascot.

The five-year-old will head to Newmarket on June 30 for the Group Three contest after trainer Ed Dunlop decided not to supplement him for the Queen Anne Stakes and also ruled out a possible run in the Golden Jubilee Stakes.

He told www.edunlop.com: ´We decided to bypass the supplementation. Sending him to the Criterion is a progression rather than going in at the deep end. The horse is in good order.'

Munaddam has won three of his four starts this year, including two victories in Dubai and a success at Haydock last time.
