Colm Murphy is hoping to get a run into Impervious later this month before deciding if she travels to Cheltenham in March.

The unbeaten chaser hasn’t been seen since winning at the Punchestown festival in April 2023. She had landed Mares Chase at Cheltenham the previous month but missed all of last season due to injury.

The Grade 3 Newlands Chase at Naas on February 23rd is a possible target for the JP McManus-owned daughter of Shantou.

“Touch wood so far so good and hopefully we’ll get her out before the end of the month. There are options for her at Naas and Navan,” said Murphy at Punchestown on Monday.

“It’s been a long road with her with a few little bumps along the way, but fingers crossed we’ll get a good run with her and it’s all systems go.

“We haven’t ruled out Cheltenham, but I’d love to get a run into her before I’d bring her over.”
