Murtagh could have the Right Approach Johnny Murtagh was tight-lipped today over a report that he is to ride the Queen`s Vodafone Derby hope Right Approach.A national newspaper said that the Irish jockey would partner the majority of the Queen's horses this year when available. They include the highly-promising three-year-old Right Approach, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who is set to make his reappearance at Sandown next week, possibly in the Heathorns Conditions Stakes over a mile.'I will make myself available to ride Right Approach if he runs next week. It is the Queen`s Golden Jubilee and it is a great honour to ride for her this year,' Murtagh is quoted in a national newspaper. However, on the subject of Right Approach, Murtagh said this afternoon: 'I haven`t heard that from Sir Michael Stoute yet.'Right Approach ran only twice as a juvenile, winning a Newmarket maiden in August and being short-headed by Expected Bonus at Kempton the following month. He was partnered on both occasions by Stoute`s then stable jockey Kieren Fallon, but the British champion is no longer retained by the Newmarket trainer.Right Approach is 12-1 with William Hill for the premier Classic.
