NEWMAN TO MAKE QUICK RETURN Lee Newman was given a clean bill of health today after taking a frightening-looking fall at Lingfield on Wednesday. Last season`s leading apprentice will return to action at Southwell tomorrow when he will try to add to his tally of 22 winners. Newman complained of neck pains after after being unshipped by Jepaje at the end of a seven-furlong handicap. 'Lee was just pulling up when the horse ducked to the right. He fell a bit awkwardly,' said the jockey`s agent Nicky Adams. 'He was keen to ride on and he did miss a winner in a later race but they wanted him to have X-rays. 'They showed that there were no problems and he`ll be back tomorrow.
