Nadia wins French Oaks warmup Nadia, making just her third racecourse appearance, proved a game winner of the group one Prix Saint-Alary, at Longchamp today. The progressive daughter of Nashwan accounted for Mare Nostrum, a previous group winner, by a head in the French Oaks prep race. The winner, a 64-10 shot on the Pari-Mutuel, was ridden by Dominique Boeuf for trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias. Choc Ice was a length and a half away in third. Earlier, Speedmaster, trained by Francois Doumen, created a 19-1 upset in a group two race for stayers, the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier.
