Nikita Tops Curragh Contenders

Michael Halford´s Nick´s Nikita, winner of last week´s Noblesse Stakes, heads 11 entries for the Group Three At The Races Curragh Cup.

The four-year-old filly had put up a handful of consistent efforts this term without getting her head in front but she produced a career best at Cork to take the Group Three prize.

Mark Johnston´s Peppertree Lane and the Alan Swinbank-trained Alfie Flits, third and sixth respectively behind Ivy Creek at Pontefract on Sunday, head the possible British challenge.

Sir Mark Prescott´s Alambic is also entered along with Gerard Butler´s All The Good, who holds an entry in the Northumberland Plate on the same day.

Aidan O´Brien´s sole representative is Derby flop Anton Chekhov while Kevin Prendergast could run Mamlook.

Liss Ard, Kempes, Mutakarrim, who chased home Yeats last time, and Tartouche complete the line-up.
