O'Brien Soliders On

Christophe Soumillon and Aidan O'Brien teamed up to good effect at Longchamp after Soldier Of Fortune gave the Ballydoyle handler his first Pattern-race success of the campaign.

The Galileo colt took the Group Two Prix Noailles by a length and a half from Spirit One, with Spycrawler another three lengths away third.

'The horse pulled a lot but we were helped by a good pace from Spirit One and he could relax during the race,' reflected Soumillon.

'I was was very satisfied by that. He took a bit of time to reach a high speed but he did it well in the end.

'He left a good impression and should progress from this race.'
