O'Brien dominates Laing O'Rourke National Stakes entries

Aidan O'Brien holds a very strong hand in his bid to land his 7th Group One Laing O'Rourke National Stakes at the Curragh this Sunday with eight of the nineteen entries for the 300,000 euro contest.

Top of the list is dual Group winner Holy Roman Emperor while he

also has recent York runner up Eagle Mountain and the unbeaten Malacara.

There are three possible overseas challengers including Moyglare Stud Stakes runner up Silca Chiave, while Danebury Hill from the Brian Meehan stable and Mark Wallace's Manchurian complete the list. Other notable home trained performers include the unbeaten trio of Teofilo, Capital Exposure and Hateef.

Ballydoyle also have a very strong hand in the Listed Laing O'Rourke

Blenheim Stakes with Astronomer Royal, Brave Tin Soldier and Naigani, while Invincible Force, winner of the valuable Tattersalls Ireland Sale Stakes is likely to make a return visit in search of more glory.

Quinmaster, winner of his last three races including the Ladbrokes.com Irish Cambridgeshire at this venue bids to extend his sequence to four when he lines up in the Listed Laing O'Solonaway Stakes. Mick Halford's consistent performer is one of 17 entries for the one mile contest which also includes his stable companion Jazz Princess and the Mark Johnston trained Prince of Light.

Saturday's programme features the Irish Field St Leger with Yeats currently the short priced ante post favourite for the final classic race of the season.
