O´Brien relies on Honolulu in Yorkshire Cup

Last season´s St Leger third Honolulu is the sole Irish challenger in the Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup on Friday.

Aidan O´Brien´s charge hasn´t been seen out since finishing well beaten in the Canadian International at Woodbine last October.

Last year´s winner Sergeant Cecil heads a field of eight declared for 1m6f Group 2 contest.

Rod Millman´s popular stayer took the race by three-quarters of a length from Geordieland 12 months ago and Jamie Osborne´s charge will again be in opposition.

Sergeant Cecil was unplaced on his seasonal debut at Newbury last month behind Royal And Regal, who will be a leading fancy to lift the prize for trainer Michael Jarvis.

However, the trainer has warned the four-year-old will only run if the ground is suitable.

Samuel, who was ninth in the St Leger last season, represents John Dunlop, while Alfie Flits, Young Mick and Veenwouden complete the line-up.
