Pitman horses tested by Jockey Club

Lambourn trainer Mark Pitman has become the latest trainer to have blood samples taken from horses in his yard as part of the Jockey Club`s unannounced routine testing in training programme.

Pitman`s yard was visited by members of the Jockey Club`s veterinary department as part of the Jockey Club`s anti-doping measures and both blood and urine samples were taken.

Tests will be conducted on the samples for a range of substances.

In February, five yards were, including that of Martin Pipe, were visited and a total of 408 samples were taken, all of which tested negative for the drug known as `EPO`.
