Plumpton Inspection Monday´s fixture at Plumpton is subject to the course passing a 7.30am inspection ahead of racing. The track has been hit with snow and officials are also concerned about the prospect of significant moisture getting into the ground. Clerk of the course Mark Cornford said: "I walked the course between 7am and 8am on Sunday and there was no frost, it was dry and the sun was breaking through. "But by 9.30am it had started snowing and it is still snowing now. The roads are clear, although there is some slush, but we do have a carpet of snow on the grass. "The forecast suggests it could keep snowing for a couple of hours and there is a chance it will come back overnight, although it could also turn to rain. "There is enough for us to be concerned so we will inspect at 7.30am on Sunday to make sure the snow is no longer lying. "Also, we could have a worry with all the moisture getting into the ground. "Frost shouldn´t really be an issue and I really hope we are OK as it is our Countryside Alliance Day on Monday."
