Pluvius likely to head Ballydoyle trio

Jupiter Pluvius is likely to lead a three-pronged attack from Ballydoyle in Saturday´s stanjamesuk.com 2,000 Guineas.

Trainer Aidan O´Brien is bidding for a third victory in four years in the first Classic of the season and the twice-raced unbeaten colt looks best of the trio set to represent the powerful team.

"It´s looking like Jupiter Pluvius, Plan and Henrythenavigator, although we won´t be finalising plans until Tuesday or Wednesday," the trainer told the Racing Post.

Plan also won a Leopardstown maiden last year but Henrythenavigator represents Group 1 form, having chased home Saoirse Abu in the Phoenix Stakes.

The going on the Rowley Mile is currently described as good to firm, although the forecast rain could turn it to good by the weekend.
