Annagh Lady put up a brave display to take the opener at Tralee, fending off the challenge of Whinstone Boy on the run-in to score by a length. Mikey O´Connor did the steering on the 8/1 shot for trainer Mick Winters. The daughter of Dr Massini is part-owned by 1958 point-to-point champion rider, Jimmy Gordon, the Wexford native who has resided for many years in Co. Cork.
