Post Unveiled As Festival Sponsor

Cheltenham have announced the Racing Post will sponsor the Mildmay of Flete Chase at the Festival meeting for the next two years.

The two-mile-five-furlong contest, run on March 16, will now be known as the Racing Post Plate and boasts a prize fund of £75,000.

The newspaper will also be sponsoring the leading rider and trainer awards at the four-day fixture.

Edward Gillespie, Cheltenham´s managing director, said: 'The Racing Post has been a supporter of Cheltenham and the Festival for many years and this deal further cements our relationship.'
