Push On The Way Back

Don't Push It is set to return to the track in the next month after suffering a setback in November.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained gelding had been a strong fancy for the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham only to pull a muscle a few days before the race.

'He'll be out there at the end of the month or early February,' said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner JP McManus.

'We haven't got a race in mind just at the minute, but he's fine and back in work.'

Don't Push It was a highly-promising novice chaser last term and made a successful seasonal reappearance over hurdles in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow in October.

The eight-year-old is quoted in the ante-post betting at the Cheltenham Festival, being a 33-1 chance for the Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase and 12-1 for the Ryanair Chase.
