Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy completed quick doubles when 11/4 chance Salvador Ziggy landed the 2m3f maiden hurdle on stable debut.

A bumper winner at last year's Listowel festival for James Fahey, the six-year-old was settled behind the leaders by Kennedy and improved to challenge 9/4 favourite Another Choice on the run to the last. He wore down that rival on the run-in to score by a length and a quarter with a further thirteen lengths back to third home Easy Fella

Elliott commented: “He’d good form in bumpers and he was working well at home. I’d say he’d appreciate a bit further.

“Jack gave him a good ride. There is only one winning post and he timed it perfectly.

“We have him about two or three months. He’ll jump a fence in time.”
