Raven´s Pass Hits 1-25 In Running But 299-1 Twice Over Battles Back To Take Craven RAVEN´S PASS looked on course to assume 2,000 Guineas favouritism when sent to the front in today´s Craven Stakes at Newmarket, at which stage he traded at 1-25 in running on Betfair to significant sums, with Twice Over drifting to 23-1. But Twice Over, matched at a high of 299-1 in Betfair´s 2,000 Guineas ante-post market, battled back for the narrow win. He is now 7-1 for the Guineas on Betfair. Betfair punters believe that New Approach is the big winner though, and he has finally shortened in the exchange market into 7-2, having been as high as 9-2 last week when some firms were offering just 2-1 about the unbeaten Dewhurst winner. Betfair spokesman Eoin Ryan commented: " New Approach fans will be happy to see that there was no clear-cut winner of the Craven today. Jim Bolger´s charge has a more solid look about him in the betting as a result and trades as the clear 7-2 favourite for the Guineas on Betfair." To win 2,000 Guineas ? Betfair bet: 7-2 New Approach, 5-1 Raven´s Pass, 7-1 Twice Over, 8-1 Ibn Khaldun, 9-1 Jupiter Pluvius, 16-1 Fast Company, 17-1 Confront.
