Reverence Ducks Abbaye

Reverence misses the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp on Sunday and will not run again this year.

Eric Alston's star has endured a stop-start campaign and burst a blood vessel in the Nunthorpe Stakes on his last outing.

'We've decided to leave the Abbaye and start again next year,' his trainer told the Racing Post.

'There's nothing wrong with him. He's certainly been working well and the ground there would have suited but with him bleeding last time, we thought it best to wait.'
