Richards Still Undecided On Monet Target

Nicky Richards has still to decide on Monet's Garden's target at the Cheltenham Festival, if the exciting grey is to go there at all.

After two effortless victories over the minimum trip this season it has been mooted his likely target will be the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy, but as yet Richards has not committed the eight-year-old to any race at the Festival.

The trainer did though confirm his next racecourse appearance will see him step up in trip to two and a a half miles.

'I've no idea which one we'll go for (at Cheltenham) but he's well and I think we'll go to Sandown on the 25th for the Pendil Novices' Chase .

'You've got to look at the full picture with a horse like that and Cheltenham is not the be all and end all with him. It's a shame they've taken the Cathcart away because that would have suited him down to the ground.'
