Rimell Looking Forward To Chandler

Mark Rimell is hoping a predicted sharp weekend frost does not hit Cheltenham´s fixture as he monitors the Victor Chandler Chase preparation of Oneway.

The nine-year-old put together a string of successes in handicaps last season to put his trainer on the map, and has run creditably in two graded chases subsequently.

Fourth in the Queen Mother Champion Chase last March, Oneway is believed by Rimell to have been below-par when disappointing in the Castleford Chase at Wetherby on his latest start.

'He´s all ready to run and I´ll be gutted if Cheltenham´s off,' Rimell said. 'He just needs to put his Wetherby run behind him and I´m confident he will as there doesn´t appear to be a championship horse like Well Chief in Saturday´s race.

'Our fellow hasn´t run in a handicap for three starts, but he was a winner the last time he did and even with his big weight I could see him going very well in the Victor Chandler.'
