Rince Ri returns at Naas Rince Ri returns to action in the Woodlands Park 100 Poplar Square Chase over two miles at Naas tomorrow after being off the track for almost 11 months. The Ted Walsh-trained eight-year-old won his second consecutive Ericsson Chase at Leopardstown on New Year`s Eve - his only start last season - but missed an intended engagement in the Pillar Chase at Cheltenham in January after a 'dirty scope' and was not seen out again. The sponsors make Rince Ri a 25-1 chance for the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup, a race in which he was going well when unseating his rider three out in 2000.'He`s only had one run in 20 months so he needs a bit of match practice,' Walsh said today. 'The trip is a bit short for him and he just probably hasn`t come to himself yet.'He`s only had the one run since the Gold Cup in 2000.'Walsh is considering a tilt at the Ericsson Chase once again with Rince Ri but added: 'We`ll just take it one day at a time.'Rince Ri`s seven rivals tomorrow include KnifeEdge, one of last term`s top novices who was a slightly disappointing third behind another of Sunday`s runners, Killultagh Storm, on his reappearance at Down Royal earlier this month.
