SACKVILLE TO HAVE AINTREE OPTION

Leading Irish novice Sackville is set to be added to the entries for the Heidsieck Monopole Mildmay Novices` Chase at Aintree on Friday.

The three-mile-one-furlong contest, along with three other races at Aintree on Thursday and Friday, was offered for further entries following the cancellation on Sunday of the Cheltenham Festival.

Frances Crowley, the eight-year-old`s trainer, said today: 'We`ll probably enter him at Aintree but if things get under way in Ireland we`ll keep him here for Fairyhouse and Punchestown because if he goes to Aintree he won`t be allowed to come home.'

Sackville has won his last four races and was a leading fancy for the cancelled Royal & SunAlliance Chase.

His trainer added: 'He`s done very well for us this season. We`ve kept him on the go and he`s in great form.'
