SENDAWAR RETURNS TO ACTION

Top miler Sendawar reappears in the Group One Prix d'Ispahan over an extended nine furlongs at Longchamp on Sunday when he will face four rivals.

Gerald Mosse's mount, stepping up in trip, may have most to fear from the progressive Prix Ganay winner Indian Danehill (Olivier Peslier).

Still on the upgrade, Indian Danehill won the Group Two Prix d'Harcourt on his seasonal debut. Although this is his stiffest task this year.

Mick Ryan's tough mare Diamond White (John Reid), Chelsea Manor (Thierry Thulliez) and Double Heart (Thierry Jarnet) complete the line-up.

Diamond White, the winner of the Prix de l'Opera here in October, is coming off a fourth to Timboroa in a valuable Italian Group One event last Sunday.

Gerard Butler's supplemented Blusienka (Jarnet) and the Nick Littmoden-trained So Precious are the two British runners in the Group One Prix Saint-Alary, on the same card.

Criquette Head's America, the Prix Vanteaux winner, and the reappearing Criterium de Saint-Cloud heroine, Goldamix, also feature.

The third Group event on the card, the Prix Vicomtesse Vigier over an extended 15 furlongs sees the British pair, Yavana's Pace and Ashgar in action.

Jo Fanning and David Harrison respectively ride the pair in a race in which John Dunlop's Orchestra Stall was the only overnight defector.

Amilynx, the 1999 French St Leger winner, spearheads a strong home team that includes Lucky Dream, Katun and Le Tintoret.
