SPEAR ON COURSE FOR GOODWOOD REPEAT Lear Spear is set to bid for a repeat win in the Group Three flutter.com Select Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday. The five-year-old returned from a five-month lay-off to finish third behind Giant`s Causeway in the Juddmonte International at York last month. Trainer David Elsworth said today: 'Lear Spear ran satisfactorily at York - he`d been off since March - and he is in good form at home. 'If all`s well, he will run at Goodwood and it would be good to repeat last year`s victory.' Also among 15 entries for the Select Stakes are last year`s runner-up Kabool, recent Rose Of Lancaster Stakes winner Ekraar and Right Wing, who scored in Listed company at York last week.
