STARS HEAD FOR LONGCHAMP Montjeu and Sinndar headed declarations made today for Longchamp`s traditionally-informative Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe trials meeting on Sunday. Montjeu will face just three rivals, having been rerouted from the Irish Champion Stakes to the Prix Foy by John Hammond due to a minor training setback. The King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes winner (to be ridden by Michael Kinane) is joined by his pacemaker Stop By (Olivier Thirion). John Gosden`s Commander Collins (Jimmy Fortune) and the Elie Lellouche-trained Crillon (Davy Bonilla) complete the field for the Group Two mile-and-a-half race. Sinndar tackles the Group Two Prix Niel, a Group Two event which has fallen to four of the last six Arc winners including Montjeu last year. The John Oxx-trained colt (ridden by Johnny Murtagh) will be having his first race since his midsummer wins in the Derby and Irish Derby. A final line-up of six includes his pacemaker Raypour (Niall McCullagh) plus the Andre Fabre-trained Sobieski (Frankie Dettori). The Group One Prix Vermeille has drawn a final field of 11, with Henry Cecil`s Oaks winner Love Divine (Richard Quinn) and Egyptband, winner of the French equivalent, the star attractions. They are joined by Godolphin`s Irish Oaks second Melikah (Dettori) and Oxx`s supplemented Ancelin (Murtagh). Dayglow Dancer (Cash Asmussen), Mick Channon`s Listed-placed juvenile, has Equerry to beat in the Group Three Prix des Chenes on the same card.
